The articulated body is what sold me — my son actually poses it sitting and lying down instead of it flopping over like his old one. Being able to wipe the vinyl down after play is a big plus too.
My daughter takes this doll in the bath every single night and the vinyl body still looks brand new. The joints move smoothly enough that she can sit him up on her shelf, which she loves. Just be careful with the size, it's bigger than I pictured.
The articulated vinyl body is the best part, my daughter can sit him up or lay him down and he actually holds the pose. He's been in the bath more times than I can count and the soap bubbles haven't damaged him a bit. Honestly the soft finish makes him feel way nicer than I expected for the price.
